Here is a progress image of my documentation of the Florida/Georgia border. It was taken in a small convenience store/gas station in the VERY small, (don't blink your eyes) town of Council, Ga. It was obviously the end of the day shift for the loggers because all of them were relaxing outside on the benches, drinking beer and talking about what they had done that day.
The landscape was filled with pine tree farms- miles and miles of pine trees. It was extremely quiet. We stopped the car to take some photographs and all you could hear were locus by the millions. An occasional logging truck would interupt their song and almost knock us off of our feet. I found my self in awe of how the simple lifestyles of the people reflected the landscape.
The rest of the images are on my website. Check them out. The collaborative show will be on the 26th of March. I'll post the details soon!
